Name | Merlin |
The Wizard is one of the Classes available in Gauntlet.
Description
Merlin is one of the most powerful magicians in the realm with a plethora of magic spells literally at his fingertips. He can blast adversaries with a fiery ball of molten lava, trap them in an arcane black hole, or electrify them with arcing bolts. And with his mastery of the inscrutable arts, the wizard can mix and match these enchantments in bewildering combinations.
Gameplay
Merlin's style of combat is similar to that of the game Magicka in that he must first conjure elements before he can ready his spells. Once a spell has been readied it can be cast as many times as desired. Some spells are restricted to cooldown timers, though despite being uncastable for a short time they will still remain readied. Unlocking a few spell masteries can help mitigate the wait on three of the spells.
Spells
When an element is conjured, Merlin will make a hand gesture and the corresponding element symbol (Fire, Ice and Lightning) will appear on screen. Do note that all nine of Merlin's spells require a combination of *two* elements and they must be joined together within a half second of each other or the first element will fade and have to be reconjured.
- Note: Firebolt, Frost Orb and Lightning Burst are placeholder names for the sake of this wiki only. The game does not list their official name.
